red, white, & blue

With the 4th of July coming up, I thought it'd be fun to post some diy decor ideas.  I love how such simple pieces can transform into beautiful things.  So get crafty and show your USA pride for the 4th.

Use vintage blue bottles to display a few red flowers and miniature flags. You can also use clear bottles and spray paint the blue or red, and keep a couple clear to have all three colors.

Buy plain wooden letters and red, white, and blue acrylic paint.  If you want to really show off your skillz (with a "z"... ha!) mix and match solid colors with stars and stripes. Coat the letters with polyurethane for durability.

How cute are these?? They can be used as centerpieces or placed on the coffee table as a festive treat.  All you need is candy in red, white, and blue and color-coordinated containers. So fun!!

I l.o.v.e. this diy idea, plus it's so simple to do.  Use red, white, blue pinwheels and place them into rustic buckets and watering cans filled with sand.

Patriotic Door Mat
(plus the idea of the flags displayed in a white vase, l.o.v.e. it!)

Food Flags

How festive is this?? Mason jars and red, white, and blue ribbon used to display the knives, forks, and spoons for your family or guests.
