a guest bedroom redo

My good friend Shelly from back home in Southern California has been renovating her guest bedroom.  I asked her to send me a before, in progress, and after picture of the room.  The best part is, is that her and her husband have transformed the room on their own - total DIY.  The only professional help they received, was when the hardwood floors needed to be buffed out.

{added recess lighting, bookshelf back lighting, first coats of paint to the walls and bookshelves, and they pulled back the shag carpet and found perfect hardwood floors!}
